Having just read @lucasisking thread about actors that arnt liked, I'm wondering what actors are liked by fellow forum members as their dont seem to be too many left!

The 80s and 90s action heroes hold a special place in my movie heart. I don't mind Gosling, Matt mcconaughey even Matt Damon. Easy going I guess as this lot are also starring in the other thread!

I don't mind a bit of Cruise at all. I appreciate the fact he does his own stunts (that Burj scene and the Hercules :eek:) and the movies themselves are pretty enjoyable.

Will Smith still has something to offer I think..he could do with a decent script and picture under his belt.

As much as I like Travolta, he's been off my radar for a while.

In my younger years Arnie, Sly and Van Damme would've been top of the list. None of them were great actors but boy did they make some films!!

As I grew up a bit De Niro and Pacino were top of the list but now everything they do is pretty much terrible! It's hard to imagine they played some of the greatest characters of all time with the drivel you see them in nowadays.

Used to really like Ed Norton as well but haven't seen him in anything decent for a while and Tom Hardy was brilliant earlier in his career but has now just become annoying and overused and those mumbling accents!!

Denzel is good value and his films are always decent, even if the film actually isn't decent if you get what I mean.

At the moment, I really like the (IMO) underrated Joel Edgerton, think he's brilliant in everything I've seen him in. Josh Brolin is very good and is cool as f in Sicario, as is Del Toro. I like Jon Bernthal too actually, no wonder Sicario was so good (also had Blunt who makes it into my female list), what a film.

McConaughey is always good, and you can never go wrong with DiCaprio, Bale, Fassbender or Gyllenhaal.

Oh and Tom Cruise, consistently good for over thirty years which is some feat.

I quite like Gosling too, the guy just oozes cool and I think the Mrs having a crush on him has rubbed off on me

Females - Hillary Swank is brilliant, Million Dollar Baby is stil one of my favourite films. Emily Blunt, like her in everything I've watched. Anne Hathaway, ever since skin tight leather catsuit in 'Rises

Oh, and Gal Gadot because she's absolutely gorgeous :rotfl:

Well I always look forwards to seeing Peter Cushing and Rod Taylor film.
But I cant say its one of his films as he always the support and that's Jack Elam usually plays a heavy for a gang boss or cowboy, but did star in a few cowboy series(not a guest) and also showed he could play lighter roles in Support Your Local Sheriff/Gunfighter.

I still think it's a shame he turned Django Unchained down, I love that movie but I think he would of made it even greater if he had committed himself to Quentin's vision, alas he wanted to be the main lead and not what was a secondary character according to him.

There are lots, however, I look forward to seeing Jessica Chastain, Matt Damon and Tom Cruise movies. The Martian, with both Jessica and Matt proved to be an excellent movie!
