Having just seen the trailer on ITV for "Gone in 60 seconds",
I realised that I have never watched a Nicolas Cage film all
the way through. I just can't take to him as an actor at all.
I don't know if it's his accent, his persona or if it's something
else but I just can't watch a film in which he acts.
I know that there may be a few of you that like him as an
actor and also love some of his films but this thread isn't aimed
    at "appreciation societies".
Give your views, by all means, just try and include some actors/
actresses you can't bare to watch.

The one where he was an ambulance driver was one of the most miserable films I ever sat though. Yeah his voice gets a bit annoying after a bit. I thought he was cr*p in Gone in 60 Seconds.

Steven Segal and that other guy Chuck Norris are unwatchable IMO even when you want a no-brain-required action movie.
At least Arnie's old movies are funny as well as being bad :)

I'm sure there are loads more, it's hard to remove the mental filters!

Keanu Reeves, Diesel Van, Mark Wahlberg, Chris Tucker in Fifth Element (and any stereotyped black man who shouts alot and never shuts up), Will Smith (Ok in Bad Boys & Fresh Prince- but getting tired of the same character) & Richard Gere.

    nathan,
what I meant was actors you can't bare to watch full stop, not
actors you couldn't stand in certain films.

    Bill Pullman!
Ever since that speech near the end of Indepence Day, I've never been able to watch more than 5 minutes of any film with him in it.

I don't know why, I just have to switch off!

Nicolas Cage was extremely watchable in Leaving Las Vegas.

I'm with Garrett - John Travolta - his list of bad bad bad dire films is huge!! then you have to concider the haircuts - he always has a really bad haircut.

1/ George Clooney (O brother, where art thou? being an exception. He was good in that.). He just irritates me, droning on and on being the same character in all his films. He wasn't much better in ER either.

2/ Most British actors in tv and film.

I thought I was the only one who hates Nicolas Cage, I can't quite put my finger on it either, he's not ugly but he's not attractive either, I don't like his southern drawl and it has to be said he has been in some appalling films!

I also can't stand Jane Seymour, if you can call her an actress, talk about loves herself, grrrrrrrrrr.

Couldn't agree more, the best think that ever happened to Chris Tucker was when Samuel L Jackson shot him in the boot of his car in Jackie Brown!

    ...It ain't gonna be me!
    LOL tracey

Do they stereotype black men as fast talking smart mouths because of the likes of Eddie Murphy and Richard Prior who set the trend back in the 80's?

Eddie Murphy has become far worse in recent years I think. With Beverley Cop 3 his films went seriously downhill (Shrek being the only exception IMO)

Joss Ackland and Sean Connery because they eat disgustingly (open mouths, loud lip noises). Connery especially in The Hunt for Red October - I have to fast forward through the scene where he eats in that!

I can't seem to accept any role Ben Affleck plays. Can't isolate the reason though.
