I have never heard of this particular company but many of the companies manufacturing and selling speakers for the professional market aren't well known names so will be unknown to the general public.

There are theoretical technical advantages in using active speakers but I would stress that they are theoretical only. Poor quality drivers or power amps will negate any theoretical advantage in the design and the range of active speakers available is exactly the same as the range of passive speakers in that it runs from exceptionally good to exceptionally poor quality.

As each speaker incorporates it's own power amp you will only need a pre-amp to drive them but don't forget that you will also need a different set of cables for connection as they don't use ordinary speaker cable and that each speaker will have it's own power lead.

Anyone interested in professional active speakers should keep a close eye on our Power Buy forum where something quite interesting should be unveiled very shortly.
