im going to be moving out of my parents soon and am putting together an acoustic energy 5.1 setup for my living room, so far i have the evo 3 fronts and will be getting the evo centre.
now im stuck between these http://www.superfi.co.uk/index.cfm/page/moreinfo.cfm/Product_ID/1281

    and these http://www.petertyson.co.uk/ebuttonz/ebz_product_pages/acousticenergyaegisevo1-aeevo1.shtml?dt

i dont want to drill holes in the wall so stands are a must but i cant find any pictures of the compacts to see if i can actually attach them to stands

any opinions or someone that has either?

The compacts are wall mounting and built into a plastic box. The Evo1's would make great stand mount speakers, I have a pair and boy do they sound great.

Forgot to mention, you realise that the compacts are sold individually.

No, they are a plastic box with curves etc. And to be honest they have to go down as the poorest speaker ever made by Acoustic Energy. And considering the EVO 1's a pair are only £20 more, all I can say is they are a bargain.

The Evo Ones are nice speakers for £120/pair and I'd second going for those, though confess I haven't hear the compacts etc.

I owned Evo Ones for a year.
