    Hello folks.

Has anyone had the opportunity to audition/listen to these speakers?

Would love to hear any opinions/experiences with these.

They have had some very good reviews from hi-fi publications. What Hi-Fi gave the Aelite three's 5 stars and then followed the Aelite 5.1 package (from which the Aelite 3's form the fronts) 5 stars again.

I've heard them and they have a 'big' sound. You need a large room to get the most out of them, however they are great value for money for what are very balanced speakers!

I have this package and all I can say is.... wow. I had heard a lot of speaker setups side by side before my purchase and I'm so glad I bought them. Built well, look nice, sound fantastic (especially when used for SACD).

I am still running mine in but agree with Krance, they sound stunning with everything that I've thrown at them so far (not yet tried multi channel music), the soundstage is soooo good in 2 channel, they rock with movies (as does my settee now), and for aesthetes they look stunning into the bargain. Some posts have suggested leaving the AE Sub and sourcing a specialist unit (REL etc), however, I've no complaints. Top buy.

    Krance,

I know there are a lot of variables involved (source material, source equipment, room acoustics and so forth), but do you find the Aelite 3 smooth and non-fatiguing? Or are they more of a bright or forward response?

Sorry for the late response, went to sleep. They are very very relaxing speakers I would say. Extremly smooth but not to the point of being dull, I do have them running through a rather bright yamaha amp.

Hard to explain in words but they keep up with the music perfectly, I think they simply sound stunning although they do sound better when given some space, but geez they can go loud (I can honestly say I have never turned a pair of speakers up so much and found them to want to keep going (no distortion that I could hear)). I also agree with turnamere here... movies make you s*^t yourself although I don't think they are that effective when turned right down.

PS. I opted for a seperate sub as I wasn't overly impressed with the AE one in this set, only because it was a lot more expensive than I thought it should be, I went for the lovely little XLS200 which complements the bass from the aelite 3's nicely.
