I've got this setup, including the processor, but of late it has got a bit temperamental...also I would ideally like to get Prologic II.

Does anyone have these speakers using a different amp? Any recommendations?

It's entirely feasable that you could buy a budget AV Receiver (Marantz SR4300 makes sense) that has pre-outs and connect these to the EXT inputs on the back of the subwoofer.

This will provide you with the PLII processing you desire and probably higher quality decoding of DTS and Dolby Digital sources.

Bear in mind that - with an amp such as an SR4300 - you could upgrade your setup to 6.1 by buying an Aego 2 unit for the centre-rear channels.
