Got a Yam 1500 receiver, looking for fronts for music and movies. Looks like they've had good reviews. WOuld this be a good match?

Can see why not, theyre very capable speakers. I think 'Dfour' on the forums has these speakers and a Yamaha amp, and I know he's happy.

Cannot find them for sub £250 though.

Can you give me a clue where to start looking?

Don't know about a good match for the Yam but I run Aegis Evo 3's at the front and have the Evo bookshelf speakers for the 4 rears and have been more than happy enough with them over the last year or so. Currently running them with the Denon 3803 amp.

Use my system for both music and movies and they seem to perform well enough with both. :smashin:

Found them in an AV shop in Waterloo. They've got a website here: http://www.hificonfidential.co.uk

I've ordered the Light Maple versions with an Evo centre. They've got stock coming in shortly, apparently.

I do have the Evo 3's fronts and centre witha Yammy 1400 and would only swap them for the AELites:D and not to much else. They are superbly musical and well controled. £250 is a superb price for them. Just about what i payed 7 months ago.

While I dont run these with any Yamaha amp, I have heard this combination and it works a treat. Recommended!

Blimey - their website says so. Tried calling them - they've got none left though. They've got some Wharfdale Pacific 20s for £169 (pair). They look a bit tasty.

"hyperfi.co.uk are claiming to have the aegis evo 3s for £79.99"

"Wharfdale Pacific 20s for £169 (pair)."

    So whats the deal here?

Too good to be true? Whats the catch?

Do they deliver or will I have to take a trip down to the smoke and risk yet another 3 points on my license?

    <<<<more points than Forest! :)

I rang hyperfi about a fortnight ago as I also saw a great deal. Not in stock - surprise surprise. I personally think Hyperfi are the most useless hifi company going. I would no longer waste my time with them. I've read a few posts on here slating them.

Go elsewhere - their prices are simply false
