    Hello

Addional Note: A few questions as this has turned out.

I recently purchased the above speakers and wondered if they would run well using a Arcam AVR300? (I may add to the system in time for surround sound), but in the meantime I just want to be able to hear these babies in all their glory.
Would be hooking up with a DVD/CD Arcam DV79.

Looking a this option due to space. I don't want to have more than, my Pioneer Plasma Box, Sky+ Box then the DVD player and amp (AVR300)? Thus hopefully giving me the movie picture sound quility and music sound quality.
Oh, also need some nice furniture to house this, any clues on this at all?

May also try and squeeze in a (Rel?) Sub for good measure?

    Thanks all!

You may use the Bi-amp feature of the ARV300 to help!

Apart from that get the REL!

Furniture? Design it yourself! I did! :smashin:

I owned an AE1 many years ago, it is a very very good speaker which really needs good partnering equipment. I have no knowledge of the Arcam but I am not confident it will fully reveal the AE1's abilities. This does not mean it will not sound good but it will not be the weakest link in the system

Ah, the AE1 MK3's - still my favourite EVER small speaker!!

Londondecca is right though - you'll probably need better than the AVR300 to hear them at their best - they do take quite a bit of driving to really reach their peak performance.

This is my fears. Things is it's all money. Lab Series is an option. But the DVR300 gives me the flexibilty to add surround at a later date? Trying to convince myself here. What to do??????
    :(

I'll sell my new (still in box) AE1 Mk111's with AE stands for £1500!

    Anyone?

IF you like the speakers keep them!

You can add surround speakers and later a stereo power amp to the AVR if you wish to power the AE's!

Yeah thanks I hear your, they are fantastic sounding and looking speakers, however, think I should have just punted for the Monitor Radius (tall ones). Wifes not been too happy with the "bigger" looking AE1's. Would sell these and punt for them if anyone was interested? ;)

Check out my signature for what to partner them with. The AVR300 on its own will not even get close to showing what they are capable of.
