I have searched long and hard and have it down to two candidates.
Both have excellent reviews and both can be bought at John Lewis with a 5 year guarantee.

The last bit is the hardest which one to pick out of the following.

    The Toshiba 32WLT58
    http://www.johnlewis.com/Audio+and+TV/Televisions/+Televisions+/LCD/230222385/Product.aspx

I have only heard good things about

    Or the

    Samsung LE32R41BD
    http://www.johnlewis.com/Audio+and+TV/Televisions/+Televisions+/LCD/230214498/Product.aspx

Which again I have only heard good things about.

I will be using for my x box 360 and ps3 (when thats here) and Tv and Dvd playback. I am wondering if the toshiba is actually the better Tv in a head to head though? Is it worth the extra price? I can find both cheaper online but not with a 5 year guarantee.

    Thanks for any help :smashin:

You can use 20% off for the Toshiba as well, I definately reccomend it, its more expensive for a reason, and that is that it is better, I tested them both and Toshiba wins easy, it also has better connections.

You really should go into a shop and have a look for yourself as it's you who will end up watching it at the end of the day. I personally dont like the JVC, i really dident think it looked all that great. Not enougth to warrent spending more on it aneyway. I have the Samsung LE26R41BD and am more than happy with it, a great TV imo. And if i had to make a choice again i would go for the Sammy.

there is a real problem with using vga cable from the 360 on the toshiba,
from what I have read in other threads.
Huge drops in frame rate. Whilst this effects other LCD on some games slightly it is no where near as extreme.

Well you really should be using component for 360. The VGA works perfect for PC though.
