    i have a Acer PD112 Projector,

i bought it about 6 months back, only used it twice,
i plan on selling it once i have passed my driving test to get a car,
so i have left it at my parents house for safe keeping,

i wouldent mind useing it till i have passed my test but im so scared about the bulbs on projectors, i just worry about the bulb popping or dyeing, as they are expensive to replace, everytime i use it as the projector gets red hot, also from what i have seen you cant see how many hours the lamp has done on this model? please quote me if im wrong but i have not found a way,
do any of you have the same feeling? like me, or do u think i should use it ?

No point it sitting there unused, it just depreciates further the longer you leave it.

If I were you I'd sell it now, or enjoy it while I can and take the risk. Otherwise, it's a very expensive paperweight.

BTW - Projectors do tend to get damn hot!

DO what I do and stick 50p in a jam jar when ever you watch a film. Unless you have a very premature failure it should easily cover the cost of a new lamp or go part way to an upgrade.

Even better - make everyone watching the film stick 50p in the jar

I think I'll go and find a jar in a mo' and put it by the PJ.
