    Hi guys,

    I have a problem with connecting my new Acer AT3201W 32" LCD TV up to my AV Package. :suicide:

    This is my kit so far:

    TV = http://www.acer.co.uk/acereuro/page...aram=UK&LanguageISOCtxParam=en&crc=3368988646

    AV Home Cinema Package = http://www.yamaha-uk.com/av_packages/?product_id=67

    DVD/Video combi = http://www.dealtime.co.uk/xPF-Philips_COMBO_DVD_PLAYER_VCR_COMBO_DVD_PLAYER_VCR

    FreeView Box = http://ws4.richersounds.com/showpro...A-TUCT30&SID=3ce47a761a8301d685697b3f57b7fc15

    Ok, so what I want to do is connect all this up but I'm having trouble doing so. At the moment I have the freeview box connected to the DVD/VCR combi via SCART, then from the DVD/VCR to the TV via SCART. I then (for the moment until I get a digital cable) have an RCA cable from DVD/VCR to the input on the amp.

    This appears to work fine when playing DVDs (albeit in ProLogic). What I want to do is connect all this up so that my speaker system can be used when watching television through the freeview box and not just on DVD. At the moment I have not been able to work this out.

    Even if I try and set this up so the TV works with the speaker system avoiding any connections with the DVD/VCR combi it fails. I can get it to work on centre speaker but only if I take out my freeview box and connect the aerial straight into the TV, and then connecting the RCA cable from AV4 output on the TV to amp and setting AV4 to out on the OSD menu on the TV.

    My question is has anyone else managed to get theirs to work? If so how? Surely it's not the case that TV sound can only work through AERIAL->TV->AMP and not AERIAL->Freeview->SCART->TV->Amp or better still through the DVD player also.

    Any help would be thoroughly appreciated. Cheers in advance and if I can make the above clearer please ask me to clarify anything you are unsure about. Thanks! :cool:
