Some people have posted on this forum asking for an additional more accuarate and reliable freeview and top up tv post code checker.

Well i have been doing some research you can go to:

    http://www.dtg.org.uk/retailer/coverage.html

This checker even tells you what mux, channels you can recieve in your area, and what reciever you are getting your broadcast from.

This one is not much use either, gave me Wrekin (haha) or Bromsgrove (ok) some channels whereas I get all from Sutton and can get all Bromsgrove if I rotate the aerial.

This is a little better - use DX!

Again round here Sutton is strongest but used to be top of the list but now isn't

That is no good either. I shouldn't be able to get many channels but I get them all with signal strength 8-9 out of 10

I do not understand these postcode checkers - they ignore the big transmitters, recommend useless ones (eg Wreking), and keep saying no signal where I can get one.

Officially Freeview is not available where I live whereas the weaker Ondigital signal was, my uncle is not supposed to get it, neither was a site we stayed at in early August.

To be honest I recommend ignoring the checkers and doing it your self.

    1) Is my transmitter digital? Yes  No go to 2

    2) Is there a nearby digital TX my house will be able to see Yes  No go to 3

    3) Is there a main digital TX I can get a big aerial to point to? Yes :smashin: No
