i get the same from my Kef PSW2000. My research turned up lots of potential issues.
Ground loop was one, where your equipment may have more then one route to ground. The theory is that you only want one piece of your equipment to feed earth. One or two reports thought that removing the earth wire from some equipment may be dangerous. I tried removing the earth form the plu, and attempted a wire link between the subwoofer casing and the amp casing. Neither of these worked for me.
Mains filter cleaning did not get any votes for solving hum.
I will be contacting Kef next week, as i also found reports of poor amp unit in the subwoofer, so it may need a replacement (not under warranty any more though).
Sorry I can't remember the most useful links, many were full of the science, and many were buried in archive threads.
so, not any real answers, but just some shared experience.

rang kef today, a very nice man confirmed my problem was a fault in the unit, basically, not ground loop as it still hums when only plugged into mains supply.
I'm sending it off to them for a refit, £50 including postage and upgraded parts will give me a much improved unit.
    give REL a call.

I have the same AE set of speakers and upon initial install my SW was humming too, drove me mad.

Tried various things to solve including 2 different SW cables (both good quality), problem still existed, until.... I tried a Mark Grant SW cable, the second I plugged it in the humming went, so happy!

If you search for Mark Grant cables on this forum you will see how popular they are. Go to http://www.markgrantcables.co.uk/

I can't guaruntee it will solve your problem but it did mine!

Mines exactly the same, hums when set at about half. I've turned it down to a quarter and turned the DB's up on my receiver. Seems to have helped a bit
