Anyone had any experience with the above speakers, im thinking of getting them to replace my older awia speakers that I had with my old system. Would I notice the difference as the speakers im using are around 10 years old. My amp is a yamaha AX 396 with a marantz 5600 cd player. Cheers

I have a pair of the Evo 3s and love 'em. My reason for going for the floorstanders is simply the large size of my listening room. If my music room was the size of my home theatre room (as in much smaller) then I wouldve picked up the Evo 1s instead. They are a very natural, detailed and accurate speaker. Come very highly regarded. I think they should sound considerably better than what you're currently runnig, however if you're concerned before you purchase I'm sure a retailer wouldnt mind either loaning you a pair to try at home or lugging your gear into the store for a listen.

the monitor audio b1s are supposed to be a better bookshelf, but i think the wharfdale diamond 9.1s (think that's the model) are supposed to be better again (according to what hi-fi)

I have some Evo Ones and for the money, I think they are great value for money. I would not buy them however without listening to them and maybe some others. Remember, your ears and equipment is different to mine.

Definitely! The quads sound as good as they look. Although they have a very transparent sound, they will highlight poor sources.
