Hey all, planning a trip round 3 UK theme parks in May much to my girlfriends despise! So far, I have found all the accommodation needed with the exception of somewhere near Thorpe Park. I was hoping that some of you guys could point me in the right direction of somewhere nearby thats reasonably priced and offers half decent accommodation. Hotels or guest houses will be fine.

    Thanks

Thanks for the links mate. I have already seen the Thorpe Parks short breaks but from what I have read, the hotels really arent up to that much. Didnt think about using google maps so thanks for the heads up!

Has anyone stayed near Thorpe Park before? It would be good to hear some personal experiences.

gotta say though that for the price travelodge isn't tooooo bad so long as you are all adults or with teens!!!
I always use one on the M20 if I am driving down from Liverpool through dover or folkestone to the continent

I think the Hilton might be a bit far out. I dont drive so its up to the misus to do all the hard work and she isnt the most confident of drivers so staying as close to th theme park as possible is required as I dont think she would like a drive through London!

I did have a look at beaumont house but some of the reviews on Trip Advisor put me off so I dont know if I want to take the gamble!

I work in Cherstey Lane, Staines which is the same road as Thorpe Park.

Depends on your budget but 2 very nice hotels are either the Runnymede Hotel, Staines or Great Fosters, Egham. Both 10 mins away and 4 star I think. I stayed in the Runnymede the night before my wedding, not cheap but very nice.

Lower down the scale in Staines and only 10 mins away is a TraveL Lodge. Cheap and cheerful.

Mid range I can recommend the Thames Lodge, Staines, right by the water and OK for a few evening drinks/food or The Crown Hotel in Chertsey. Both 5-10 mins away by car

I've stayed or been to weddings at all of them, given a choice I'd pick Great Fosters cos its a lovely building. All of the above are close to the M25
