Does anyone know if there is a version of The Abyss available anywhere with a DTS soundtrack?

    KAO,

Alas, no such version of this superb underwater movie exists. The best you will get is the double-DVD Special Edition, on either Region 1 or 2, which contains both the original cinema cut (131 minutes) and the longer Director's Cut (158 minutes), both of which are Dolby 5.1

    Sorry,

    Pooch

Thanks Pooch. I suspected as much, but I thought I'd ask because I recently found a German R2 version of Fifth Element that has German: DTS 6.1, German: DD 6.1, English: DTS 6.1 and
English: DD 6.1 soundtracks. It sometimes pays to look around!

KAO, search this particular forum for my entry regarding the German releases, if I remember correctly the information for some of the discs was wrong and my post contains the correct details of the soundtracks available.
