After much delibiration, surfing this forum and sleepless nights I have decided to go for the Screenplay 5700. Does anyone know if any retailers have them in stock, if so who? Preferably a supplier with on-line facilities.

The price also seems to vary drastically from £2150 - £3000, whats all that about.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Good choice Gucci - my 5700 is being installed tomorrow.

RRP on the 5700 is now 2200, with, last time I checked, hifix.co.uk doing the best price at 2185 inc VAT and delivery.

Best deal was creative audio, as they charge 2250, but include a free Infocus ceiling mount worth 130.

Component def the way to go for DVD -> PJ.

Also, if you have Sky/Sky+ with RGB Scart output, worth considering an RGB Scart -> Component convertor, so you can feed high quality video output into the PJ.

Either of the following convertors will be ok:

    75 quid from http://www.keene.co.uk/cgi-bin/codesearch.pl?APT1
    145 quid from http://www.js-technology.com/rgb-yuv/index.htm

I've heard of a few people that have had compatibility problems (crap picture) with the Keene one, but nothing but good reports on the JS one. I've opted for the JS. Beats feeding an inferior SVideo connection into the PJ...

    Thanks Lee.

Component it is then, mind you I thibk I need about 18m! I am channeling it into the ceiling and back down the other side. Luckily the room above has an uncarpeted wooden floor!

I will have a look at the cabeling options for SKY.

I will be interested to hear how you get on with your install. Any probs, how easy, but most importantly are you happy?

Heres to ordering my PJ tomorrow.

If they are competitive on price then I cannot recommend Creative Audio highly enough. There level of service has been superb every time that I have been to see them.

Creative are just down the road from me and they have looked after me well. So far as I am aware they don't stock the J S converters. I do.
