I have deliberated long and hard but now seem ready to make the investment.Though that 26in Sonix in the lcd forum seems very tempting.

The Panny comes with a scart board.I have a humax pvr with 2 scarts.I will have a pioneer 575a tomorrow.
I presume i connect the freeview to the Panny, and then the dvd to the Humax, which has rgb in and out via scart and the optical out or coaxial from the dvd to my receiver. Is this correct?I do get confused about it all.One of the reasons why the Sonix looks so tempting.
    Thanks
    Bob

Looks correct - but just in case you're not aware, you will need PVR to Receiver too - probably twin phono.

Also for the panny screens there is comment that scart isn't the best piccy. If it turns out too soft for your liking you can almost certainly improve things by buying a RGB-VGA converter and running the scart from the PVR to that and the vga cable from that to the screen. Search this forum for suggestions (I've got JS tech version but there are others). The JS one will set you back about £150 + cable but piccy is very good (comparable to component IMHO from my Tosh 220 DVD).

    Enjoy.

    Thanks for the reply.
The scart board comes "free" with Panny so i will try that and then look out for a second hand js box and sell the scart board :) Just missed one by minutes on the forum yesterday :(
I have lots of spare phono cables so will try your suggestion.
    cheers

also suggest you source a component input for DVD when funds/time allow.........I think the Humax is RGB passthrough,
