    Hi All,

    Has anyone compared a A85/P85 biamp setup against a FMJA32 amp ?

Would moving to an FMJA32 be worthwhile or a step sideways until I could afford another power amp to go with it ?

    Thanks,

    Darren

I'd go for the A32 and upgrade with a P35 later. If you're anything like me then if you get the Diva you'll yearn for the FMJ, and end up getting it six months down the line in any case. As for comparisons, I have an A32 in my second system and, to my ears at least, it's as good in stereo as bi-amping with an FMJ P7 which I use for my main system (with a Tag AV32R as pre-amp). The only thing going against this is the number of A85 and P85s coming up for grabs on ebay and in ex demo sales, given the introduction of the A90/P90. If you can get them both for less than a grand........
