    Hi all,

I thinking of getting an AVR300. I already have an A85.

I want to keep my stereo set up separate from the surround system, but wondered if I could boost my stereo listening a little by making use of the spare rear channels on AVR300.

If I set these as "Zone 2", and plug my CD player into the AVR300, could I use my A85 as a power amp and feed it the pre-outs from the AVR300 channels 6 & 7? i.e. bi-amp the zone 2 channels with my A85.

Would this improve my stereo listening, or would I be better off sticking to the A85 by itself, and AVR300 for surround only?

Has anyone tried this? Does it work and is it worthwhile?

    cheers
