Will only connecting one speaker to an amp damage it. If i set the balance to the far right / left will this send all the stereo sound to the one speaker?

    Cheers in advance
    Steve

I have found a great deal on a hi-spec single speaker.

At some point I would have thought that you would like to match it and get a stereo pair, If you are unable find another you would be more than a bit stuck, furthermore selling one speaker in order to upgrade or whatever may be a little difficult.

    Just a thought....

The balance control does not mix the left and right channels. It just controls the relative level between the two. If you move the balance to the left then the left channel is much louder than the right. There is no right channel routed to the left.
