Hi, i'm in the process of redecorating, and have taken out my adams fire surround and fire, dropped my plasma (on the chimney breast) and stuck my centre speaker half in, half out of the wall, looks good, but i'd like to further streamline the items in my room, and was wondering about knocking a hole in the wall that divides the living room with the kitchen, then having my a/v gear residing in a kitchen unit, it would be handy for cabling access, i was thinking about finishing it off (living room side) with a nice smoked glass door.

    Anyone done this..or similar..?

if so, can you post some pics.. cheers

Sounds like a good idea but you'd have to do a very good job to seal the kitchen side so that bits of food and all the other stuff that floats around kitchens doesn't get into your kit!
