This was my first plasma TV and it lasted 7 years. I recently was looking for a new TV and after reading many reviews bought the panasonic TX-P50GT50B but its nowhere near as good as my old pioneer one. I'm not bothered about it being a smart TV as I have my PC linked to it with an HDMI lead and have a wirless keyboard and mouse anyway, just looking for something with a picture as good. Thanks :)

There are good 42" 8G Kuro's to be had for 200-£250 which are hugely competent to this day...

Or there are new and used 42" Pro Panasonic plasma panels which you would find enjoyable also i'm sure...

These are only 1" smaller than what you were used to.

Will you be looking for brand new - - or not fussed ?

The only plasma i would consider personally over 50"outside of Pioneer Kuro would be a Panasonic pro plasma - or a Samsung F8500...

    But that's me ;)
