In order to use Sky+ do I need a Sky+ box and addition subscription or can I just get myself a Sky+ box anduse some of the facilities like record etc??

Sounds daft but I am sure you know what I mean!!

A Sky+ box requires a second input from the satellite to have all fetures (dual record etc) - thus buying the box is not quite so easy/useful.

If you do go down the self install route then I believe you can have the Sky+ for free.

If they install it for you - you get a cheaper rate but you have to subscribe to 2 premium channels I think (sky sports....etc) or pay extra per month.

You can't use any of the Sky+ features without a subscription, this includes recording.

If you have any 2 premium channels the subcription is payed back so is effectively free.
