A smart TV with built in apps or separate amazon/chrome sticks ?

im in the market for a new tv around March/April.
Apart from the usually 4K, curved screen I'll be looking out for smart feature like built in YouTube/Netflix/Amazon etc.

Is it better to get a smart to with all the built in free view play/ record and built in apps like iplayer etc or rely on streaming sticks as no doubt they will be better supported in terms of app updates and bug fixes ?

Above a certain price you are going to get some SMART features anyway. The difficulty arises when all the promised SMART features don't appear. Some TVs lacked Channel 5 catch up and some Samsungs lacked the ability to play BBC iPlayer. Updates might follow. Some would provide NETFLIX but not Amazon. At the end of the day the addition of a Chromecast or Amazon plug in might fill the gap. As for updates I expect either option will be equally supported.
