When I say small I mean the height must be less than 120mm, the width and depth are not issues.

Has anyone seen small speakers and if so where?

    Many thanks

    John

If you are on a smallish budget something like the B&W VM1s are good, £125 RRP . What sort of price bracket where you looking at?

    Budget of around £300.00

Currently have a Wharfdale one, but his is 150mm and the AV stand that I am looking at getting will allow for a 120mm speaker.

According to B&W's site, the VM1 is 124mm wide. Amazingly, the bass driver is 125mm wide! Presumably using technology from their high-end Tardis range.

    You mean a linn centrik.

Pretty hefty centre, 4 Ohm, and quite low sensisity at 88dB. Better have a decent amp for it.

Thanks all for your suggestions - may have to rethink the stand.

At the weekend I saw a thin sony centre speaker - I think it comes with the DAV888 package - does anyone know firstly if

1 These can be bought individually (without the rest of the package)

    2 If it's any good?

    Cheers

John, have you thought of diy-ing your Wharfedale? Dunno about your cone sizes, but if they're small enough!
    Just an idea

    cheers steve

Thanks Steve - I have thought of this, had a look around at box enclosure sizes.

This would probably be a last resort. Have you done any diy speakers yourself?
