I had ordered a PW7 with scart input but was sent the PWD7 with a composite/component board. (Not from AV-Sales BTW)
This all came with a 3 year warranty for £1,569.99

    Good deal or not. :D

Absolutely adore the panel though. Couldn't believe the quality when i fired it up for the 1st time.
My father had also ordered the same but they only sent him a PW7 :(

Well that's interesting because I just followed your link and it said "NEW OFFER! Slimline 42" Panasonic Plasma screen in silver or black finish including a FREE 3 Year Warranty; supplied with scart terminal board ". What is interesting to me is the "in silver or black" bit. As far as I'm aware the PW7 is only available in silver so if you order this in black then I think they have to supply a PWD7. Did you order the black one and your Dad a silver one? Could this explain why you got a PWD7 and your Dad a PW7?

MAKE sure they are marked B on the box if the are marked E EG TH-42PWD7EX or TH-42PW7EX they are Euro grey imports and not UK stock...Beware (UK models are labled TH-42PWD7BX and TH-42PW7BX, dont worry if it doesnt say X as that final letter just stands for what is packaged in the box, Terminal boards, Wall brackets etc....)

    Thats exactly what happened.

My box is marked TH-42PWD7B (S)

After realising i had a PWD7 i phoned them up and only mentioned that the board was wrong. On their website there is a £130 difference between the PW7 & PWD7.
Am i doing the right thing by keeping the composite/component board instead of the scart board?

BTW can't fault their service. Next day delivery. Phone call beforehand, etc
