I believe Charlotte Church is going to be in charge for one instalment , but Stephen Fry turned it down because he is backing Angus Deayton.
That isnt the only reason why he did, he is working on a similar show at the moment
clunes was hilarious
telling ruby wax to shut up just for a minute and telling glenda to "wind her neck in".........classic
what other show is this? What channel, who's lined up to be on it etc?
I missed it last night. Does anyone know if it planned to repeat it sometime soon ??
Thanks I would have missed if not for the hint.
But you could have warned us that Squirrel God made an appearance and caused all sorts of confusion.
that lot needed locking up in the Crytal Maze - they'd have died of starvation whilst arguing....
Martin Clunes was excellent
I loved his "don't knock it, it's a living" comment, when talking about Blair's Simpsons character having sticking out ears and a stupid grin.
A bit of a crazy suggestion, but perhaps it was accidental?
Yeah, I thought Clunes was the best yet. He'd be my choice for "the chair", definitely. I don't think even Stephen Fry slipped into the role so adeptly.
Did anybody see Parkinson last night? Twas a very good one.
At first I thought that but if you look they are 11 minutes apart and you can delete.
Martin Clunes did look to be reading the auto cue but did seem to slip more into the role as the program progressed and was funny and self mocking. I wonder I he really want the job he was a lot smarter than when he was panellist.
I thought that - amazingly - Jeremy Clarkson was the best presenter so far. Borris johnson was hilarious, but I guess they couldn't have a conservative MP as a permanent presenter.
Martin Clunes was very good though.
Ah... I didn't see Clarkson but can imagine how he might be a pretty good replacement. He has that same dry, sarcastic sense of humour and also speaks with ridiculously exagerrated inflections.
I like the current format of having a different chairperson each week; keeps it fresh. Can't ever see them topping the Boris Johnson one though.
