I've just bought a Pioneer VSX-D912 and am looking to match this up with Mission M31 fronts and M30 rears. The thing is, the amp is rated as 6 x 100 watts and the speakers at 75 watts. Will the amp be too powerful to run these speakers? Would I be better going for alternative speakers that are rated at 100 watts?

Don't get hung up on the stats. Your Pioneer amp is a perfect match for those Mission speakers. The 75 w max of the speakers is a continuous level over a long(ish) period of time which your Pioneer isn't capable of anyway. Turn the amp up until your ears bleed, the speakers will still be ok.

Cheers for that Nobber. As with most people who post on here, I'm always looking for a positive reply. I had a feeling they would be OK but your expert help :) has convinced me that I have chosen compatible speakers.
