A computer RGB signal in already progressive, so effectivly you are outputing a Computer signal from the Iscan and the projector see's it as an RGB progressive signal. It should also be slightly better picture than Component.

Sorry to butt in Gordon :D

Component and RGB are both methods of transmitting data. Component is analogue compression of RGB data. Both can be interlaced or progressive signals.

RGB may offer better performance although in reality the conversion process is lossless. If I'm corrrect though you will not get aspect ratio control when using RGB PC input of the projector.

    hi gordon
not wishing to plough back into the iscan thing again but can you possibily clear something up for me, when viewing material through the iscan ( vga iscan output to vga projector input ) and switch the projector to computor mode and flip the component switch to rgb on the iscan the picture is ok but im i right in thinking the image is rgb and not progressive scan.

    many thanks

    richard
