    Does the unit come with a Remote or have Sony robbed you lot aswell???

    It doesn't here in the UK.

    None of the Sony NW Walkman range have had remotes included for the UK models.

    i got a japanese version (grey import) and that doesnt have a remote either.

    Well thats a surprise...

    I walked past the Sony shop in St. Albans a few days ago...

    And surprise surprise they were blatantly teasing owners of HD3's with an "official" HD3 remote for the bargain price of 69.99GBP....

    The 3 line display one that comes with their MZ-NH1? (doomed line of Hi-MD players) - Sony RM-MC40ELK

    comes to £50 + £5 for delivery (from Jap). Think thats expensive? I've researched - so far they are the cheapest - Sony want £70, as do audiocubes.com. Ebay probably cheaper but......

    it will be fine getting it off eBay - I have bought MemorySticks on eBay like that. If you get it from a power seller with 99% good feedback and a few thousand items under his belt you know you are gonna be fine. The items normally have the full manufacturer's warranty and the sellers are good at honouring that.

    I don't doubt that... the main issue is that Sony shops can add insult to injury by trying to sell the ordinary joe (who respected their product enough to buy it) something that they should have provided for free.

    My grievance was that when I bought my HD3b (250GBP) in late january I discovered that amazon were selling the same one in the same colour for 219.99GBP..... STRANGE! I thought to myself... Why can amazon offer it for that price if it wasn't even bieng sold by the official Sony site for that much???
    So I contacted sony "customer care" and some idiot called PETER SHORNEY fobbed me off with some dribble about the cost of the player bieng competitive, and that they couldn't sell it with a remote control because it would have added to the cost EVEN THOUGH I TOLD HIM IT WAS CHEAPER ON AMAZON!

    It's infuriating to be treated like a fool just because you raised a good point... Sony pay people in "customer care" to fob off its customers who bought something and weren't satisfied. Good customer care would have been to silence me with an ELK-40...;):D;) LOL

    However Sony choose to pay rude people to avoid our concerns and treat us like morons. I would like some of you to make a complaint or two... and see just how many of you get sony to back down on something... To date all the replies I've seen from Sony Style via e-mail have been negative, and never back down an inch. Whether those emails were ones I wrote or ones on AVforum...
