I have the original wharfedale 750. Can anyone tell me if it will play R3 dvd's?

And yes, it is with CTHD in mind!

What's CTHD? R3 DVD's are NTSC and the original R3s (ie not pirated or local productions) are just re-coded R1s (=same content to the last 'bit').

Where did you buy your Wharfdale from?

    Is it multiregion?

Also Region 3 is a region in its own right and is not a copy of Region 1 as stated above.

Surely Region 3 is a region of it it's own, but there are three types of DVDs on sale:
Pirated ones (cheap and sh**), local productions (risky) and re-coded R1 (excellent since cheaper than the original R1, but limited choice).

Ah, R1's are on sale here, too, but cost a bomb.
