ordered new lens with them on the 10th of August and consequenty got my e-mail and tracking number with dispatch notification on the 15th August.

According to the Hong Kong post it left the country for it's destination on the 16th. It is now the 22nd and still no arrival, Parcelforce webside doesn't recognise the tracking number. either.

This is the 1st time i've ordered from them and just wondered if the timescale is correct? Also does the Hong Kong tracking number ever work with Parcelforce at this end?

    :lease:

I wouldn't worry just yet. They state 5-8 working days, if they dispatched it on Tues 15th then this is the 5th working day. Give it until Friday before chasing it up and worrying about it.

My pal's dad ordered Kenko tubes from them a couple of weeks ago and the delivery time was over a week.

Don't panic! It'll be Royal Mail this end holding things up - even to SE England HK Post will take at least 5 days - The tracking on one thing I bought worked but on some others it didn't so don't pay too much attention to it ... HTH - Paul :smashin:

    Hi

I was looking to purchase from these also, did anyone get stung for import duty / VAT, if so how much of a ball ache was it getting that back from them?

The only other thing worrying me is some of their stuff only has 6 mth warranty & in the event of a problem, you have to return it to Hong Kong!!:thumbsdow

Probably going through Customs & Excise so nothing to worry about :)

Have had 2 consignments from onestop

One was delivered by royal mail no vat charges

The second was delivered by FedEx and had a small vat and admin charge, so I followed the procedure as stated on their website and got a prompt refund of ALL charges.

On the Track and Trace page of Parcelforce, did you tick the Incoming International Parcel box? If you have the originating carriers website address, you may be able to confirm from there that the item has left the country of origin.

Otherwise, phone Parcelforce and give them the tracking number direct. If you get no joy, refer the problem to the sender to sort out.
