Hi, I am looking to buy a PS3 this week due to huge cuts at my work, and I own a maxim 11-57 32" display. From what I understand I will ahve to buy a HDMI/DVI adaptor which isn't a problem, but then somebody told me that the television needs to support HDCP, which I don't know how to find out, and was hoping somebody could help me verify this, or let me know if it would work out the box.

I was also told DVI does not output audio? these are a few things I would like to clear up before I spend a lot of money on a console that might not work with my T.V.

    Many thanks

    possible simple way

is it marked as HD Ready ?

if not you'll need to check the manual. As per your post, it will need to say HDCP enabled or similar
