Hopefully this is the right pj forum, as Im not sure what type of pj this is.

But, has anyone seen these projectors that Boys Stuff sells?

I dont know much about projectors, but the specs dont seem too bad. Plus its really cheap. :)

    Resolution .. unwatchable

Not sure what 'luminous flux' is, though I presume it's light output, no idea what units 'IM's are but if that's lumens then it's very dark.

    Uniformity .. pretty poor

Er, you're getting what you pay for, sorry. :) For playing games it hardly sounds usable with that resolution, for HTPC I'm afraid it's completely useless.

They are terrible projectors, even for the money. Look at the vertical resolution, 234 lines! They also have pitiful light output and poor contrast. Avoid!

Yeah, I found a T3 review of them. Apparently the picture is awful! ;)

I am sure though that most kids with a blank wall in their bedroom and a PS2/Xbox would think his dad was a god for getting them one for Christmas.

Its a toy when all said and done.

Also, to be fair, if they were only in a small befroom, linked up to a console, creating perhaps a 4ft screen, then (compaired to playing a game on a portable or bedroom TV) they may look fantastic to a childs eyes.

I have seen them before. I am sure they look fine for youngsters with a PS2/X Box. It has to be better than watching on a 14" portable.

However, for anything else they are rubbish. I think they are 4:3 ratio as a start.
