I have no idea on how to set up my speakers.

I have a 7.1 setup and I want to keep it that way.
I also have the Kef Home Theater Egg speakers.

Right now I am renting but soon to be moving into my house. The living room
in the house is very long and two sofa's will only go to about 2/3rd of the room.

So placing the speakers at the end of the room around the TV is fine, placing the side speakers is also fine, wall mounted.

But the rear speakers are becoming a pain. Right now I have speaker stands, the KEF stands, they look good but I want to get rid of them and have my speakers mounted. The only way I can think of mounting them is on the celling. Is it possible to place the speakers on the celling and have them angled towards the sofa?

Or is the above just stupid?
