    Good Morning:

I plan to place all my AV equipment (Denon A1 / Pioneer 656 / X-Box / Sky + etc.) on the other side of the lounge from the 50" Plasma.

This means the cable length will be about 28 feet. Are there major issues I need to consider here?

I have similar length cables and I did not notice any degredation in quality over the shorter length cables I was using for a bit before I installed it properly.

I would suggest you just ensure you get decent quality cables and if possible seperate your power cable from the other cables (although mine is not seperated, and again I notice no problems).

For VGA cable I had trouble finding one long enough but in the end found a decent shielded cable somewhere on-line.

For other cables I got custom length Lektropacks prolink cables.

No problem for VGA and component, however I'd be careful with svideo > 6m, even with a good quality cable.
