I am getting ready to build an HTPC and would like help on specing it out. I'm trying to keep it around $1,000 U.S. I currently have no Video source (except Monitor and Standard TV). I will be purchasing a 42 inch Plasma as soon as finances allow. Here's what I found so far. Let me know what I can change and what looks good.

    Case: Cool Master ATC-610GX
(is 4 slots going to be enough?)

Case Fan: PC Power and cooling silencer

    Power Supply: EnermaxEg365P-VE FC
350W Whisper duel fan P4 ATX

    Mother Board: Ausus P4PE
    P4 i845E Firewire Lan SATA

    Processor: Intel Celeron 2.1 GHz

    Processor Heat Sink: Zalman CNPS5500-CU
    Copper Cooler

    RAM: 512MB DDR

Hard Drive: 2 Seagate Barracuda IV 80's

    Floppy: TEAC (Black)

    DVD/CDRW: Toshiba SD-R1202
    DVD/CD-RW (Black)

    Video: Radeon 9000 Pro

    Audio: M-Audio DEL410
Delta 410 (I could use some help on this decision since my system will be mostly for music)

Logitech Remote Keyboard and mouse (Black)

This system comes in around $1,300. If you know of better components for the price please let me know. This is my first one.

    Thanks

Have you considered the RME card? You should be able to get it at a good price because it is being replaced and it is generally accepted to be superior to the 410 (given you are wanting it mainly for music).

The cooler master ATC-610 case is a MATX case? If it is you will need a MATX motherboard. Mirco ATX boards just have three PIC slots and one APG.

It looks like the Asus P4PE P4 i845E is an ATX board.
