A good USB-stick. (Well, it worked for me.)

I wanted to play d*wnloaded feature-films in 'avi.'-format through a USB-stick, to save the faff (and expense) of 'burning' them to blank DVD; and bought a Toshiba SD290 DVD-player with a USB-slot to play them through.

But it proved temperamental with these USB flash-drives: Imation Swivel-Drive, 2Gb; and the 8Gb Kingston 'DataTraveler' 100 ['scuse the Yank spelling].

Then I lit on Staples's own-brand 4Gb 'USB memory key': worked beautifully.

For two days: then the Toshiba wouldn't 'see' any of them.

If I've posted in the wrong place, pardon me.

    AF.
