    Hi

I just got a Pioneer 656 and Sony 1080 amp, and I want to try out a good SACD disk to test the system.

I want a "proper" multi-channel recording, not a "hybrid" SACD which doesn't use all the channels (e.g. Tubular Bells which produced no output to my centre speaker and woeful base through the sub).

Anyone recommend a good SACD please (rock, classical)?

    Thanks

Yes, and also Hourglass by James Taylor if it's more your taste. I have both and they really do show off SACD at it's best.

For 2 channel, try 'Just push Play' by Aerosmith. A great album and a great recording too. Oh yeah, and 'Gratitude' by Earth, Wind and Fire is a good recording.

One to avoid maybe 'Thriller'. Only two channel and sounds very thin on my system although crystal clear, it lacks punch.
