    Hello

I want to purchase a small media PC to connect to my 42" TV in order to watch shows from Netflix, also to watch Sky Sports on SKyGo.

Can you recommend a decent machine? It needs HDMI and Optical out.

    Many thanks

As above, the xbox 360 ticks all the boxes you've stated, and can be used from the sofa with the games controller or a remote control.

A PC would take a lot of work to do what you want, the xbox will just work. And they're very cheap compared to a PC.

    HI oxfordmark,

I wonder if you wouldn't mind updating this thread on how the RL70 performs with Sky Go when you have it up and running.

I was looking at the same set up to watch Sky Go and have read on another forum that the RL70 e-450 struggles to play Sky Go and Netflix HD without stuttering. Something to do with the Silverlight plug in that Sky Go uses.

    Thanks Si

Will let you know. My step dad has an E350 processor and it does that on SD.

Yes, the thread topic is "A good media PC". So i wanted a PC, not a games console, it can double up as a work computer.

The thread only mentioned watching on demand TV, which the 360 can do really well, cheaply and with no setup - it also has HDMI and Optical. You may not have been aware that all these apps were now available on the 360.
