A good 2010 set or cheap 2011 32" set?

Hi, I need to 2 TVs for the kids bedrooms. We originally wanted 26" but they were similar in price to 32". So we decided to go for the bigger screen.

Budget was £200 per set.
Usage: Virginmedia TV, PC monitor replacement (PC doesn't get used that much), maybe some XBOX use (not sure if we want games console in the bedroom)

I've reserved 2 x LG 32LK330U (£240)at Richersounds to collect on Friday. The spec seem adequate for what we need (definitely not groundbreaking).

I've just spotted on Play.com a Sony KDL-32EX301U (£240) which as far as I can make out is a 2010 model which is no longer produced.

Question: Is a decent 2010 set (Sony) better than a bargain basement LG set?
I'm edging towards the order button for the Sony, I have a Sony 26" which has been going strong for 4 years so far.

Cheers

April 2011 Which? Magazine has an article on TV brand performance & reliability. It advises the reader to 'avoid Sony's disappointing 300 Series'.

The LG 32LK330 has been reviewed by Which? Score 60%.

Buy the LG.
