Can anyone suggest a good upscaling DVD player under £60 that features 1080p?

What display are you using? At 60 quid you will probably find the upscaling in the player to be worse than the upscaling in the display!!!!

I've got a Phillips DVP3980. £50 from Argos. Althouth its not brilliant its certainly better than the tvs (Panasonic TX-32LXD8) upsaller. I usually have it set ay 1080p and let the tv downscale it to 720p which seems to bring the best results. I compared it to a Samsung standard DVD player and it easily out performed it.

I have the Philips DVP5990/05 and I am really impressed for the money. I got mine from Argos, I filled in the form for the DVP3980 and they gave me this one :smashin: Better as it has a USB 2.0 port on the front which is great for watching avi files. But I do really rate this player it was better than a similar priced offering from Sony HDMI player that I had 6 months ago. I have it set to upscale to 720p (it will upscale to 1080p) on my Samsung 720p/1080i LCD and I am very impressed.
