I have had SKy HD for a year now but looking to downgrade to £18 a month taken away the HD, Movies & Sports £55, reson being it's not really worth it. I will still keep my HD Box.

    i have a few questions

    1. Will i still be able to get BBC HD??? Don't i pay my TV licence for this service aswell.

    2. Will i still be able to pay for Box Office ie. Movies/Sport Events like I am Legend or Boxing & watch them in HD???

    1) Yes, you'll still get the BBC HD channel, as it's free to air. You'll also get CH4 HD.

    2) You'll still be able to pay for Box Office programs, although I must admit I'm not sure about the HD ones.

    Cheers,

    Martin.

Yep, that's right, you won't be able to view the recorded programs unless you resubscribe to those channels you recorded from.

You need a SkyHD subscription to order SBO-HD Movies.

I thought someone posted recently that they were able to buy the Ricky Hatton fight in HD, despite not having an HD subscription. Maybe I'm mistaken.

Yes I saw that! - which is why I was careful to say Movies!!!:)

For SBOHD Movies one can watch the trailers and the first five minutes. Trying to order starts out Ok - but eventually fails with an error message.

Yep - point taken, but the Hatton fight was broadcast on an SBO HD Movie channel, which is why I raised the issue. I can't test it for myself, because I have the full package. You obviously have and that's good enough for me! :smashin:
