Does anyone know of a recorder that has a similatr spec to this?

Has a hard disc of some size.
    Records to -R,-RW & +R.
Has a SCART input that is RGB capable.

A lot I have looked at seem to have some of these features but not all.
I was leaning towards the Pioneer 5100 till I noticed it doesn't have a RGB input, how bizzare is this seeing as Sky TV is probably going to be one of the things I will use it most for.
My Sky digibox is one of a few that has a SVHS output but I would've preffered the convience/quality of RGB.
Is there anything due out that has the features I am after?
I wanted the -R,-RW ability to be able to use any of the discs I record on it on my laptop as well.

The two new Sony recorders featured in March 2004's HCC may be the ones for you - otherwise, the answer is no at present :(

    I didn't think so.
I am looking to get sooner rather than later so am leaning toward the Sony GX3 at them moment as it is duel standard so reasonably future proof(ish) for a while.
The lack of RGB input on the Pioneer and it only being -R/-RW is swaying me away from it somewhat .
A hard disc would be nice but I may wait to get one of those till the prices drop some more.
Any ideas where to buy,I want multi region obviously.

I would look at Multiregion Magic ,I got a Panasonic recorder a while back and they were really helpful too.

Bear in mind the current Sony models can only write to DVD+RW not DVD+R

    I dont mind that.
At the moment my laptop DVD drive is -R/-RW so I mainly want compatability with that more than anything, but the +RW would be nice to have in case the whole -R/-RW thing falls through in any format war!
I dont mind only being able to use +RW either as I prfefer media I can use more than once.

Don't worry about +R.If you have -R ,+ is not needed as its less compatible and gives no advantages over -R.The Sony is a good compromise, but you will pay over £100 more for the +RW extra. The next batch of Sony's will feature full +RW/+R capability, and if Sony are sensible enough to give it a more reasonable price than their usual level,it would certainly make their new range, the one to beat

Maintaining the current topic, are there any DVD recorders that output the tuned RF signal through the S-Video connection of the Recorder?
