Hi
I'm in the process of upgrading from a Sony STR-DB930, mainly to get DD-EX and DPLII as well as a jump in sound quality overall.
I was going to get the Denon 3802 but it didn't pass the wife's "Aesthetic Compatibilty Test" so I'm looking for something of similar/better quality and in silver
This Kenwood receiver looks great, imho, and seems to have everything I need but I wondered...
1. How high is it? It looks huge and I'm a bit worried it won't fit under the TV (a Sony KV32FQ75, upon which I'm relieved to say I've never seen a scrolling bar after 2845 hours of viewing)
2. What does it mean to only have 5 channels of amplification but support for EX? Do you get a line out for the extra 2 rear channels as well as the sub?
3. Is it about to be superseded? As it's about a year old now. I think this might be why I've found it for 700 quid less than RRP.
Any advice appreciated.
