A couple of questions on the Kenwood KRF-X9995D

I'm in the process of upgrading from a Sony STR-DB930, mainly to get DD-EX and DPLII as well as a jump in sound quality overall.

I was going to get the Denon 3802 but it didn't pass the wife's "Aesthetic Compatibilty Test" so I'm looking for something of similar/better quality and in silver :)

This Kenwood receiver looks great, imho, and seems to have everything I need but I wondered...

1. How high is it? It looks huge and I'm a bit worried it won't fit under the TV (a Sony KV32FQ75, upon which I'm relieved to say I've never seen a scrolling bar after 2845 hours of viewing)

2. What does it mean to only have 5 channels of amplification but support for EX? Do you get a line out for the extra 2 rear channels as well as the sub?

3. Is it about to be superseded? As it's about a year old now. I think this might be why I've found it for 700 quid less than RRP.

Any advice appreciated.

Ah, just found the height in the online HCC review so scratch that one :)
