Hi all, I'm just about to go out and get a Panasonic E50 (today or tomorrow probably) so I downloaded the (American) manual and I've got a couple of questions that I thought you guys might be able to help me with: 1) In the manual it says that DVD-RAM will record 4:3 & 16:9 and DVD-R will only record in 4:3. Is that true? No widescreen? If it's not true and I record a movie (say from Sky Movies) does it also record the switching signal that switches my TV from "Panorama" to "Wide"? 2) I think I misunderstood the Flexible Record thing, but I get it now (hopefully). Does it work like this?............ If I have a movie that is 30mins long and I enter this into FR it will automatically select XP? Am I right in saying that I won't get a better recording than XP, and I will still have 30mins worth of XP left on the disc? Another example is if I have a movie that is 2hrs 30 mins long. If I enter this into FR then seeing as it is longer than the 2hrs of SP then it will just select the next one down (EP)? Or will it do some kind of calculation and use a bit-rate between the two? Thanks for any help you can give (maybe Rasczak can help me as he's been very helpful in the past ). I swayed away and was going to go for the Philips for a while, but now think that the E50 is best for my needs again. Thanks again, Shaun.
