    Magikkk,

I'm pretty certain that the Hong Kong Legends label has it available on DVD, on Region 2. Check out some of the R2 sites, or else your local HMV stores.

I'm also sure it is a bilingual version; that is, subbed and dubbed versions, though don't quote me on this!

Sad to say that there is no Hong Kong Legends version of this superb title, yet. There is a Region-Free Cantonese version available, but as with so many of these particular imports, the picture quality is pretty grotty and it isn't worth investing in as anything but a stop-gap solution until a better version arrives. And trust me when I say that a beeter version will eventually arrive. You see, Hong Kong Legends has the rights to all three Chinese Ghost Story movies (but sadly not the superb animated remake of the original) although they are not scheduled for release yet. I've been badgering the company for about a year now to release the series as a trilogy box set, but to no avail so far. However, I'm meeting up with the guys from Hong Kong Legends this afternoon, so I'll check with them again to see if there has been any progress on the title.

    Quick follow-up:

Having spoken to the Hong Kong Legends folks, while they wouldn't give any specific details, it looks likely that they will release the film in the first half of 2002!
