Well I had to call Sky today. I had the usual end of contract - double the cost - cancel sky - get almost.exactly the same deal shenanigans this company seems to insist on doing.

Anyway, after re-subscribing, Paramount Plus stopped wokring - so I called in. Apparently I had to call a difference number for that - but the Indian lady said for my inconvenience they were giving me an upgrade to my Netflix to 4 streams and UHD.

It was only when I asked her how long for she told me 2 months, Then I asked what happened after 2 months, would I be charged, I was told yes.

If I hadn't queried it, it would quietly have been added to my bill.

Thought that pretty underhand, so watch out for these tactics....

It's nothing new with Sky.
If they give you something for free for a few months it's always down to you to make sure you cancel it at least 31 days before the offer ends. I'm sure it's in the T&C that any free offers you will be charged if it's not cancelled before the end of the free period.
